Ann-Marie Archer, PCC

Owner and CEO

Ann-Marie Archer, PCC, is the founder and CEO of Archer & Associates, a team that provides coaching, training and executive search services for some of the world’s top high-tech, government, entertainment and manufacturing companies.

During her long career serving in corporate roles, Ann-Marie began recognizing gaps in effective leadership, leading her to launch her own training company helping executives develop and grow emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and effective approaches to communication. She is passionate about inspiring change and understands the dynamics of growth and success.

Ann-Marie effectively guides her clients in setting and achieving personal and professional goals in a way that is measurable and effective and assists them to move past perceived blocks to create deeper personal integration. She brings intuition, training, and proven methodologies that deliver lasting and profound insights and creates opportunities for her clients to view their lives in deep and insightful ways. She is a connector, voice of clarity, and purpose-finder who inspires others to find their courage. She is dedicated to guiding people and companies to find their true purpose, forging connections, and elevating people so they find more meaning and success in their work.

After graduating from Western Washington University, Ann-Marie served as a business manager at BEST Consulting, where she oversaw the hiring and management of more than 400 individuals. She honed her capabilities and insights as Director and Branch Manager for Inteliant, where she led a $75 million project consulting business unit. Before launching Archer & Associates, Ann-Marie served, through the Ascentium Corporation, as the on-site Director of Consulting Services at Microsoft.

Her years of experience at premier companies, her advanced training in organizational dynamics and personal optimization, and her use of intuition to make penetrating insights make Ann-Marie remarkably effective as a leader, coach and executive search professional.  She shares with rare generosity, listens profoundly, and fosters conversations that leave people, teams, and companies energized, empowered, and inspired with a clear pathway to achieving the results that matter most.

Ann-Marie is active in many organizations. She is currently a member of Onboarding Women; International Coach Federation (ICF); Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); formerly served on the Board of Directors for Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS); is the former co-chair of Executive Women in Technology (EWIT) of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA); formerly part of the Executive Advisory Team for IgniteWA, a digital equity and readiness initiative for small businesses; is adjunct faculty at Bellevue College teaching Performance Management, and Collaboration.  She often speaks at events honoring diversity and inclusion.

Cheri Hoggard

Business Manager

Cheri makes sure the business side of Archer & Associates runs smoothly. Her entrepreneurial spirit and love of numbers started at an early age and have led her to a career focused on providing exceptional business services, including office management, recruiting coordination, executive support, and accounting. She provides the foundational support for our powerhouse consulting services company using a combination of top-notch accounting skills, financial oversight, and operations management savvy. She also acts as a business sounding board and cheerleader for Ann-Marie’s expanding business.

Cathy Bernatt

MA, PCC, Professional Coach

Cathy Bernatt, MA, is a powerhouse executive coach, international consultant and highly trained facilitator. Cathy’s vision is to help “realize unlimited potential in people and organizations.”  Cathy specializes in Conflict Transformation, Organizational Change, Leadership Development and Executive, Leadership, Relationship & Systems Coaching. Her work follows an insatiable passion to develop conscious leaders from the inside out that have a deep awareness of oneself and others. She believes this can create social and world change that is sustainable and transformative.

Living in Japan for 22 years, Cathy spent 7 years as a Senior Corporate Trainer inside a major Japanese corporation. She has worked with a wide range of clients from all over the world in settings that range from a 47-meter tall ship to the corporate boardroom. Her clients include multi-national corporations, NGO’s and educational institutions in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, South Africa, the U.S. and Central, Eastern & Western Europe. With 30 years of leadership experience in Outward Bound (, Cathy has designed and directed programs that focus on team-building, navigating hot conflict, communication, leadership and self-discovery.

Cathy has more than 30-years experience coaching teams and individuals ranging from CEO’s of multi-national corporations down to new managers in both profit and not-for-profit organizations around the world. She brings a wealth of experience in the areas of diversity and inclusion, leadership, systems thinking, creativity and navigating difficult conflict. Cathy worked as an external executive team and individual coach and O.D. Leadership Specialist in the technology division of the largest global financial institution with the head of IT and his team for 10 years+ in Japan as well as started a unique program to empower female employees to step up into leadership positions.  She has an M.A. in Leadership Studies, an M.A. in Conflict Facilitation & Organizational Change, an M.A. in Process Work, is a PCC level certified coach with the International Coach Federation, and a Professional Facilitator, certified via International Association of Facilitators.

Cathy operates from a core belief that the wisdom and answers to all the challenges we encounter in being alive and being human lie within each individual, system or relationship. Her approach centers around helping people learn to “hunt” from within themselves and the systems that they are part of to find the nuggets of gold that elicit new wisdom and help unfold the challenges that show up into opportunities for growth and transformation. In addition to paying attention to what is happening in everyday reality, she helps take others into their deepest dreaming to explore and get to know what is most unknown and what is wanting to emerge. Marrying pragmatism with dreaming, Cathy’s approach helps people and organizations reach and go beyond their wildest goals. Her mission and passion in all the work she does is to “inject humanity back into systems that by virtue of being systems tend to “suck humanity out”. Helping people discover who they are, who they are wanting to become and helping them clear obstacles to discovering and fully utilizing the enormity of the gifts they have in service of their companies, their families and the world is what she does best.

Will Pearson

ACC, Professional Coach

A former professor of organic chemistry, consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, and executive at a chemical company, Dr. Will Pearson combines his
science background with years of mentorship and leadership experience to provide effective one-on-one coaching support for leaders in science, technology, medicine, and engineering.

Scientists and related professionals are rarely trained to be leaders; yet often find themselves in such positions. What support exists for them to become
exceptional leaders? A company may send them to a nearby business school for leadership training; they may even contract for a leadership coach. However, these trainers and coaches are rarely from the same world, and thus may have difficulty in establishing the credibility and trust required for effective coaching, or the perspective necessary to understand the leader’s team. Will’s passion is stepping into that gap and utilizing familiar methods, such as the scientific method, which his clients can readily relate to and appreciate.

Will was a tenured professor of chemistry at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for twenty years where he ran well-funded, internationally-recognized program in synthetic organic chemistry. He was an award-winning teacher as well as a popular instructor of continuing education courses in the pharmaceutical industry. He was also a consultant at chemical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural companies for most of his academic career. Post-academia, Will was the executive responsible for research and development activities at a company specializing in nucleic acids chemistry.

Will’s personal interest in leadership, coaching, evolutionary psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness techniques, and a host of other humanity-oriented topics give him a deep well to draw from in his coaching as well as his training as an accredited Associate Certified Coach with International Coach Federation and as a Tilt365 Certified Coach. His clients, often skeptical of coaching or the “soft sciences,” relate to him as a peer and are thus open to exploring new territory with him. His clients span the range from current leaders to future leaders to those on the front lines who may not consider themselves leaders, all of whom are open to the idea that effectiveness in work and life starts with leadership of self.

Timothy Thomas

PCC, Professional Coach

Timothy Thomas is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation providing individual coaching, group coaching, facilitation, and training for professionals and organizations in Seattle, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. Tim specializes in coaching technology leaders for connection and impact, helping them move powerfully past hindrances and positively shift relationships at work, at home, and in the world.

Tim currently provides coaching to leaders, managers, and individual contributors at marquee technology companies and Y-Combinator tech accelerator startups. He works with clients across a variety of industries, focusing on helping each person develop top-notch interpersonal skills and enhancing their ability to work effectively as part of a larger organization.

He is trained and certified in Conscious Business Coaching, Cultivating Excellence, Tilt365, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, legally-binding Mediation and studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming with NLP co-founder Richard Bandler.

In his role as a Career Transition Coach, Tim incorporates Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media, and copywriting experience to help his clients craft highly optimized resumes and LinkedIn profiles and offers personalized coaching in interviewing and negotiations.

From 1995 to 2006 he held a variety of roles in technology and marketing for tabletop gaming giant Wizards of the Coast, starting as Senior Web Developer and progressively serving as a Software Developer, Web Development Team Manager, Online Marketing Manager, and ultimately Executive Producer of where he was responsible for 30 staff members across 4 teams marketing major brands including Magic: The Gathering, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, and Transformers.

As a consultant he has served as a Project Manager for creative marketing products, including projects for Microsoft. He has also been an independent contractor providing organizational support to non-profits providing Federal aid, delivered Software-As-A-Service product implementations, and developed successful SEO and SEM campaigns for diverse clientele in High Technology Optical Engineering, Internet Security, Blockchain, App-Based Services, Architecture, and International Standards bodies.

Tim is deeply committed to helping others achieve their goals. He uses creativity, deep listening, highly-refined observation, and caring reflection to help clients produce breakthroughs in areas of their lives that matter the most to them.

Sue Couper

ACC, Professional Coach

As a professional coach, Sue Couper draws on knowledge acquired as a consultant and business leader. Throughout her career as a tax consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, she advised executives, managers, and entrepreneurs and developed a deep understanding of the qualities shared by effective leaders.  The lessons she learned during her 30 years as a consultant informs her coaching and leadership development approach.

As a coach, Sue nudges her clients to stretch, take risks, and holds them accountable to achieve their personal and professional goals. Through empathy and humor she encourages her clients to step into their vision of the future.

In her work with teams, she helps improve trust and communication, resulting in improved productivity and effectiveness. With special insight, she helps women navigate their career growth while balancing the unique demands faced by women professionals. She helps emerging leaders develop their personal brand, learn effective networking skills and establish strong mentor relationships.

Sue has been awarded an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation by the International Coaching Federation, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Elsa Henderson

MA, ACC, Professional Coach

Elsa Henderson, MA, is a facilitator, ACC coach and educator.  She has worked internationally with individuals and groups in cross-cultural facilitation and training. Through these experiences she has learned to appreciate structure and entropy. Much of her work has focused on communication, trust-based collaborations, and change.

With a background in systems theory and as a diplomate of Process Oriented Psychology, Elsa brings an in-depth understanding of human dynamics, identity and culture to her work.

Amidst change, she supports clients and teams to deepen their relationships, to weave effective networks based in trust, and to learn skills that help navigate complexity and ambiguity and achieve impact.  Along the journey, clients build capacity in themselves and in relationship.

Elsa supports her clients to navigate the edge between what is known and what is emerging to gather new insights. Focusing on uncovering nascent patterns in individuals and groups to map and discover innate solutions and co-create strategies for action, she brings attention to the subtleties and holds the big picture in mind to support clients through transitions. Evoking possibility and grounded focus, Elsa invites clients to step into new ways of engaging with their lives and work.

Elsa is passionate about working with creative individuals who want to engage fully in their roles and enhance their skillsets in working with and leading others.
